Another mobile app from Stevens Construction Institute, the Cost to Complete Analysis Calculator helps project shareholders proactively manage cost overruns. The app allows for daily updates and close monitoring of potential cost overruns.
The app uses estimated units versus actual units installed to calculate the percent complete (an efficient way to calculate construction progress). The app also uses labor hours expended to date versus estimated labor hours to produce the cost to complete.
Labor cost dollars can be sued separately or concurrently in the app.
The resulting worksheet may be emailed or printed.
To ensure projections are not inaccurate during the first part of the task, each task item should have a separate line that includes task setup and clean up. Plus, task items should be assembled construction items that are easy to measure such as linear feet of wall, square yards of paving, square feet of forming, etc.
