Trackunit has launched IrisX MCP, a new capability that connects construction equipment data with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot without requiring custom integrations.
Built on the company's IrisX operating data platform, the technology uses the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard, allowing contractors to access fleet information through natural language prompts using their preferred AI platform.
According to Trackunit, users can identify equipment trends, detect potential machine failures, trigger alerts, update records and automate routine fleet management tasks without switching between multiple applications.
Trackunit also says the new capability is designed to help contractors, rental companies and equipment manufacturers turn connected equipment data into actionable insights while reducing manual fleet management tasks.
