CM Labs Simulations, developer of Vortex training simulators, announces the availability of the new Vortex Trainer, the latest addition to their construction equipment simulator product line. Attendees at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas can test drive the Vortex Trainer at booth G72413 in the Gold Hall from March 7-11, 2017.

Optimally designed for a classroom environment, the Vortex Trainer mounts conveniently on a desktop and makes it easier than ever for training organizations to deploy the company's full range of construction equipment training modules and maximize operator seat time. Learning organizations can start novices on the entry-level Vortex Trainer and then complement it with seat time on the Vortex Advantage. The result is more seat time and better prepared operators.

“With the Vortex Simulator,” says Tom Gordon, IUOE Local 14’s Co-Director of Journey Person and Apprenticeship Training, “we’ve noticed that when trainees get in the real equipment, they know what to expect — they know how to catch a load, and they know what’s going to happen.”

  • Compact for easy transport and installation in minutes
  • Components from the configurable pedals to the operator touchscreen and high-definition display can be ergonomically placed for optimal trainee comfort
  • Features the same quality as the more immersive simulators
  • Uses industrial-grade joysticks and steering wheels developed by manufacturers for cranes and heavy earthmoving equipment
