DICA has expanded its WorkSafe Hole Cover lineup with new sizes and designs to help contractors cover open holes and address OSHA safety requirements on jobsites.
The expanded line builds on the company's existing round covers and now includes additional round and square models ranging from 42 to 60 inches. The covers are intended for use in construction, utility and industrial applications where open holes present slip, trip and fall hazards.
Manufactured from engineered thermoplastic, the reusable covers are designed to resist rot, splintering and contamination. Each cover weighs less than 50 pounds and features ergonomic handholds for easier transport and placement.
The high-visibility yellow covers include caution markings and are secured with included stakes to help prevent displacement from wind, equipment or worker activity. DICA says the covers have a rated capacity of 350 pounds when properly installed.
The WorkSafe Hole Cover line now includes five models, with DICA recommending at least 6 inches of ground contact around all sides of the hole being covered.
