Iowa Plans $2.3 Billion in Road Construction over Five Years

IA Transportation Commission will consider the DOT plan for approval June 14

The Iowa Department of Transportation submitted a $2.3 billion plan to guide state highway construction projects over the next five years to the Iowa Transportation Commission. More than $1.3 billion would go to preserving the state's highway system and making it more safe. Interstate work includes I-29 in Sioux City, I-29/80/480 in Council Bluffs and I-74 in Bettendorf/Davenport. Several projects were delayed by one year due to lack of funding.
