Maryland Adopts Bay Bridge Toll Increase

Will be $4 on Nov. 1, $6 by July

After months of public comments, the Maryland Transportation Authority adopted a plan that will increase Bay Bridge tolls, keep a discount commuter plan and waive the monthly E-ZPass surcharge.

Thursday morning, the board unanimously approved the plan that will raise Bay Bridge tolls from $2.50 to $4, effective Nov. 1, and then rise to $6 in July 2013. Vehicles with three or more axles will pay $8 to $30 in January and $12 to $45 in July 2013.
