Veterans Affairs Department relinquishes control of Colorado hospital construction amid an internal investigation on the $1 billion over budget project

According to the Veterans Affairs Department, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will take over construction management at the new Denver veterans hospital amid an internal investigation into how the project ran $1 billion over budget. Just last month the department's top construction executive, Glenn Haggstrom, retired amid the VA's investigation.
