Three World Trade Center at 175 Greenwich Street in New York has reached the halfway point of construction with 41 of 80 stories built. The building will reach 1,079 feet when completed in 2018. That is 89 feet shorter than the original 1,168-foot-tall building planned.
The reduction in height is because of the removal of the spires on the roof, and the actual height of the building will not be reduced.
Completion is expected in early 2018 with the topping-out currently planned for the winter of 2016.
