NAPA, as part of the Construction Industry Safety Coalition (CISC), has published a downloadable Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, & Response Plan for the construction industry.
Provided as a Microsoft Word template, the response plan can be tailored to individual companies. Also included are a training checklist, a toolbox talk, an employee notification form, and a document that identifies that the industry is an "essential" infrastructure industry amid shelter-in-place orders.
With the spread of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 respiratory disease it causes, everybody must remain vigilant and adopt new practices to mitigate the outbreak. This is particularly true for the construction industry, which has been deemed “essential” during this declared National Emergency.
In order to be safe and maintain operations, CISC developed a COVID-19 Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Plan to be implemented throughout companies and at all of job sites.
When using the response plan, companies should review additional suggested industry practices available on NAPA's COVID-19 health and safety webpage.
