FOX6 News Milwaukee is reporting that Komatsu has celebrated the opening of its new facilities in Wisconsin. The company built a $285 million campus that includes a major office building and a manufacturing facility.

The 180,000-square-foot office building and 430,000-square-foot manufacturing plant are on 57 acres of a former Superfund site in Milwaukee's Harbor District. The campus includes the manufacturing facilities with advanced technology, robotics, engineering and R&D labs, as well as the large office complex, training facilities, a data solutions center and an experience center.

Pre-construction work has been under way since the end of 2019 to prepare the site for redevelopment.
