2017 Scofield Decorative Concrete Awards Presented at World of Concrete

This year the Decorative Concrete Awards ceremony was held in the Library Room of the Marquee Nightclub during the 2018 World of Concrete in Las Vegas.

Scofield, a business unit of Sika Corporation, is pleased to announce the winners of our 10th Annual Decorative Concrete Awards contest. The contest is free to enter, and is open to any contractor who uses Scofield Systems in the project. Winners are selected by an independent panel of judges based on skill of installation, creativity, and integration with the overall design intent.

This year the Decorative Concrete Awards ceremony was held in the Library Room of the Marquee Nightclub during the 2018 World of Concrete in Las Vegas. The event was attended by around 85 contractors, media representatives and distributors, as well as Scofield and Sika representatives. Food and drinks were served. A presentation of the winning entries was projected on a large screen throughout the event, and the winners in attendance were recognized and received their award from Mike DeCandia, VP of Scofield.

Prizes are awarded in six categories, each of which awarded a Grand Prize and two runner-ups. The categories and winners were:

Artistic Concrete Category

  • Grand Prize Winner – Business Interiors, Woburn Mass. – Microsoft Boston
  • 1st Runner Up - Capitol Decorative Concrete, Piedmont S.C. – Morningstar Church
  • 2nd Runner Up – Concrete by Hallack, Turlock Calif. – St. Agnes Labyrinth

Stained Concrete Category

  • Grand Prize Winner - Capitol Decorative Concrete, Piedmont S.C. – Our Lady of the Rosary Church:
  • 1st Runner Up - Coburn Construction, Austin Texas, National Instruments
  • 2nd Runner Up - Architectural Concrete Excellence, Lincoln Park N.J., Cascading Pool Deck

Stamped Concrete Category

  • Grand Prize Winner - OPC, Lowell Ark., Hunt residence
  • 1st Runner Up - Mike Lindsey Concrete, Solsberry Ind., Houser Project
  • 2nd Runner Up - HI-TECH Concrete Solutions, Brompton, ON, Creditview Road

Polished Concrete Category

  • Grand Prize Winner - The Spieker Company, Perrysburg OH, Perrysburg Intermediate School
  • 1st Runner Up - Diamond Polishing Systems, Puyallup Wash., Diamond Showroom
  • 2nd Runner Up - Philadelphia Polished Concrete, Manahawkin N.J., Barnaby’s Restaurant and Pub

Integral Concrete Category
