CyBe Construction founder and managing director Berry Hendriks plans to release the CyBe 3D printable mortar in 2016, possibly as early as January. The 3D printable mortar is a quick-drying cement product that can be formed into load-bearing structures within an hour. The complete hydration or curing process is done in under 24 hours.

How 3D Printing is Affecting the Construction Industry

The quick drying rate allows the mortar to be printed into freeform or parametric designs that do not need frames and support structures traditional methods requires.

CyBe claims the final structure is watertight and its 3D printable mortar is one of the most environmentally friendly concrete production methods. The mortar is reusable and when used with Hendrik's ProTo 3DP Concrete 3D Printer claims that carbon dioxide production can be reduce by as much as 75%.
