MARSHALLTOWN acquired RACATAC Products, Inc. (RACATAC), an American manufacturer and distributor of a kneeling/sitting creeper that allows contractors to roll while kneeling or sitting.

Based in Church Point, Louisiana, RACATAC was founded by Craig Comeaux in 1999. While RACATAC was originally invented for the flooring industry, today it is a versatile tool used across flooring, automotive, painting, concrete surface preparation and polishing and many other trades.

“We are thrilled to welcome RACATAC into the MARSHALLTOWN family,” said MARSHALLTOWN President & CEO Joe Carter. “Having worked alongside Craig and Annette Comeaux for more than two decades as distributors of their high-quality products, we are pleased to carry forward the brand they built. As they transition into retirement, we are proud to acquire not only the manufacturing capabilities but also the legacy they created.”

This acquisition carries on MARSHALLTOWN’s tradition of strategic market expansion by acquiring partners who offer unique and innovative products. By acquiring RACATAC, MARSHALLTOWN is able to provide ergonomic equipment designed for professionals who spend extended time kneeling or working close to the ground within various industries and job settings.

“As a young man, I used MARSHALLTOWN’s high-quality masonry tools to earn a living as a brick mason for over 25 years,” said RACATAC founder & CEO Craig Comeaux. “And now, 25 years after inventing and manufacturing the RACATAC, our small company is honored and proud that MARSHALLTOWN will be committed to a future of growth for the RACATAC. We couldn’t be going to a better company.”

MARSHALLTOWN plans to integrate the full product line into its existing catalog with manufacturing and distribution operations across the Midwest.
