FARMINGTON HILLS, MI - William T. Drakeley Jr., Drakeley Industries , has been named the Chair of the American Shotcrete Association's (ASA) Pool & Recreational Shotcrete Committee whose mission is to educate and promote the proper use and application of shotcrete to the swimming pool and recreational shotcrete industry.
Drakeley replaces former Chair Tom Norman, Airplaco Equipment Company, who is stepping down in order to more fully devote his efforts to his role on the ASA Board of Direction. Norman will continue to offer his expertise and experience by participating as a voting member on the ASA Pool & Recreational Shotcrete Committee.
"Tom Norman has done an exceptional job of leading the ASA Pool & Recreational Shotcrete Committee for a number of years," stated ASA President Patrick Bridger, Allentown Shotcrete Technology, Inc. "Tom is a very important asset to ASA, and with his recent reappointment to another three year term on the ASA Board, we will be asking him to refocus his efforts and leadership on items the ASA Board is directly working on."
As an award winning pool builder, and an ACI Approved Examiner for the Shotcrete Nozzleman Certification program, Drakeley brings a unique and important set of credentials to the Chair position.
