Brickeye has introduced BuildersRiskIQ™, a new digital dashboard aimed at improving how construction firms manage jobsite water damage risk and navigate the Builders Risk insurance process.
The platform offers a centralized way for insureds, brokers, and underwriters to visualize and share IoT-based water mitigation plans, beginning as early as the pre-construction and insurance quoting phase. This represents a shift toward more data-driven collaboration between construction teams and insurers.
BuildersRiskIQ™ integrates Brickeye’s IoT sensor technology and loss control services to create a detailed, verifiable view of how each jobsite plans to address water damage risks. The dashboard also includes Brickeye’s Certificate of Protection, which confirms mitigation measures are in place. This can help reduce water loss deductibles by up to 50% and support stronger insurance submissions.
“Studies show IoT can reduce jobsite water damage risk by up to 90%,” said Alex Fuentes, EVP of Strategic Growth at Brickeye. “With BuildersRiskIQ, stakeholders can bring those protections into the insurance conversation from day one.”
Key Use Cases:
- Insureds: Gain access to potential insurance savings through verified risk reduction plans.
- Brokers: Strengthen submissions with detailed mitigation data and third-party verification.
- Underwriters: Get greater visibility into on-site protections, helping support more accurate risk assessment.
BuildersRiskIQ reflects the growing intersection of technology and insurance in construction, with the goal of reducing losses, improving transparency, and streamlining the risk evaluation process.
