Record360 has announced the launch of AI Blur Detection. The feature helps users avoid blurry photos in real-time, supporting the outcome of inspections.
“Our new AI Blur Detection feature is an absolute game changer for our customers,” said Kat Gillis, general manager, Record360. “We spoke to dozens of customers to understand what features would be most impactful in their business today. Our bespoke blur technology sets a new level of quality and efficiency for inspections, bringing a whole new standard of innovation to our industry.”
Utilizing the Blur Detection tool, the solution generates sharp photos. The feature indicates when a user is about to take a blurry photo, providing them with real-time feedback. Additionally, inspectors are able to review blurry photos from their media gallery, either replacing or deleting them.
The Blur Detection feature also gives managers control of the inspection process.
"Our team developed this feature entirely in-house to address a critical customer need for high-quality images," said Haiz Oppenheimer, director of engineering, Record360. "Utilizing our custom-developed AI model and deploying it on edge devices allows for on-device inference, significantly enhancing customer privacy by eliminating the need for data to be sent to third-party servers."
