Planera, a provider of visual collaborative scheduling software for construction, announced $8 million in new funding to expand adoption of its platform among contractors and subcontractors in the fast-growing data center market. The latest round brings the company’s total funding to $26.5 million following its Series A in 2024.

With global data center construction expected to more than double from $91.9 billion in 2024 to $214 billion by 2030, Planera is focusing on helping project teams manage increasingly complex and high-stakes builds.

Major contractors including HITT Contracting, Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction, and Ryan Companies use Planera’s platform to improve project visibility, streamline collaboration and identify scheduling risks earlier.

To support this sector, Planera has launched a dedicated service team with data center expertise and introduced new AI tools to detect potential delays and accelerate project delivery.

The $8 million financing round includes continued support from Sorenson Capital, Sierra Ventures, Prudence, Brick and Mortar Ventures and new investment from Zachry Construction Corporation and other industry leaders.
