Volvo's newest E-Series compact excavators include performance upgrades from the D-Series and the brand new ultra short-swing ECR18E model. Both models come in at 79 in. tall and 39 in. wide with the undercarriage retracted. The undercarriage extends 53 in. Three cast-iron parts protect the rear while still allowing easy access to components. Side and rear panels are made of stamped steel.
The ECR18E features a rear overhang of 0.5 in. when the tracks are fully extended. Other features include:
- Top-mounted boom cylinder for protection during loading and braking
- Large tie-down points on upper frame for easy, safe transport
- Electric ISO/SAE pattern changer
- Purpose-built canopy with heavy duty pillars
The EC20E offers a 13% increase in tractive force, 22% increased lifting capacity at the front and 7% increased lifting capacity at the side, compared to its D-Series predecessor. Additional features include:
- Auxiliary hydraulic flows can be independently adjusted in each direction, offering the best in both speed and control
- Optional second auxiliary line
- Optional auto engine idle and shutdown
- Fold-out coolers
- Electric ISO/SAE pattern changer
