The new PC-11 oils, which will be commercially available at the end of 2016, have been designed and developed to help extend the life of new diesel engines, promote longer oil drain intervals and offer more choices.
According to Shawn Whitacre of Chevron, there are three key issues to consider when you start to plan your purchase of the new CK-4 and FA-4 oils.
- Oxidation stability
- Wear protection
- Piston deposits
The new PC-11 oils are designed to address these three areas of concern without sacrificing performance. However, contractors should still be knowledgable about these three areas of concern, what to look for and how the new PC-11 oils can help ease these concerns.
