Aggregates Equipment, Inc. (AEI) has introduced the Freedom Disc Screen, a coarse screening system designed to handle difficult materials without clogging or downtime.
The Freedom Disc Screen uses profiled HARDOX® discs to separate rotor shafts from material flow, reducing wrapping and blockages. Its faceted disc design allows material to move freely through the screen while improving durability and reliability in harsh environments such as urban and industrial waste processing.
The system is available in both mobile and static configurations and comes in sizes ranging from 1600 mm × 4 m (5 ft × 12 ft) to 1600 mm × 10 m (5 ft × 30 ft). Units can be customized for multiple separations per deck and configured in cascade arrangements to optimize material handling.
Unlike vibrating screens, trommels, and star screeners that can struggle with difficult feedstocks, the Freedom Disc Screen is built to maintain high throughput with reduced wear. Potential applications include municipal solid waste, construction and demolition debris, mining, aggregates, and auto-shredder residue.
