Bosch Launches 18V Brushless Jig Saw

 Bosch Power Tools, a global manufacturer of power tools and power tool accessories, has announced the latest tool in its saw lineup, the GST18V-50 18V brushless top-handle jig saw. The cordless jig saw delivers a cutting capability of up to 4.9-in. in wood. Its brushless motor delivers up to 3,500 no-load strokes per minute, extending the motor’s runtime and facilitating cutting performance.  

The company's latest jig saw model simplifies blade changes and enables users to track the cut line. The tool-free blade change system ensures blade insertion and ejection to keep the work moving. The tool’s LED light illuminates the cut line in dark work areas, allowing workers to tackle tasks on a variety of jobsites. Complete with a built-in dust blower, workers can clear dust aside to navigate the cut line.  

The variable-speed control provides a dial to adjust the operating speed from 0-3,500 no-load strokes per minute. With the variable speed trigger, users can control the operating speed by feathering the trigger. Workers can select the right blade stroke for their specific project by choosing one of the four orbital action settings.  

Complete with Bosch Power Tools’ CORE18V battery, Bosch’s cordless jig saw delivers an extended runtime to help carpenters, remodelers, roofers and plumbers accomplish a range of projects.
