Metabo HPT has launched the 18V MultiVolt Compact Reciprocating Saw (model CR18DMAQ4) for remodelers, plumbers, electricians, framers and construction professionals in confined spaces. The 18V compact reciprocating saw delivers cutting power with its 1-1/8-in. stroke and 3,000 max SPMs for cutting speed through wood, PVC and metal.
This tool is part of the MultiVolt System of 18V and 36V power tools from Metabo HPT. As an 18V bare tool, the user can decide to GO lighter by using a compact 18V battery or GO longer with the flexible 18V/36V MultiVolt battery to double the runtime per charge**.
The compact reciprocating saw is 20% more compact than its predecessor model, enabling support in hard-to-reach areas on the jobsite. Also being 22% lighter at 4.63 lbs. allows for use an in overhead applications. With reliable cutting performance (1-1/8-in. stroke length, 3,000 SPMs and four-speed modes), it can achieve up to 125 2x8 cuts per charge**. The durable brushless motor technology allows for long runtime per charge.
User Vibration Protection (UVP) counterbalance technology helps reduce vibration during demolition and rough cutting applications while preventing vibration-related injuries.
A twin bearing design results in less plunger wear and heat for durability. It features an Aluminum Housing Body (AHB) that holds the driving parts in the tool’s main body to protect against unexpected drop impact or vibration. It features an adjustable and pivoting shoe for depth control and optimized blade wear, a variable speed trigger with a trigger safety lock to prevent accidental starting and tool-less blade change. The LED light disperses light when working in dark spaces.
The CR18DMAQ4 18V Cordless Compact Reciprocating Saw is sold as a bare tool (battery and charger sold separately) and comes with a curved wood cutting blade. It can be used for cutting in narrow spaces, through nails and screw in wood, pipes, PVC and angle iron.
