ESAB has introduced the Ruffian EMP 270G, an engine-driven welding generator that delivers 270 amps at 100% duty cycle and up to 11 kilowatts of generator power. Built in Texas, the unit pairs ESAB’s inverter technology with a 23.5-horsepower Kohler Command Pro CH730 gasoline engine for reliable performance in demanding field environments.
Designed for use in construction, maintenance, and mobile service work, the Ruffian EMP 270G supports multiple welding processes, including MIG, flux cored, Stick and TIG. It also offers carbon arc gouging capability and features a 7-inch digital display for clear visibility and simplified control.
The unit weighs 425 pounds and includes an 11-gallon fuel tank for extended operation. Its compact footprint and removable panels provide easy maintenance access. Multiple 120- and 240-volt outlets allow operators to power tools, lights and other equipment directly from the generator.
