NCCER Releases Foreman and Supervisor Assessments

NCCER announces the 2009 release of Foreman and Supervisor assessments.

GAINESVILLE, FL - The NCCER 2009 release of Foreman and Supervisor assessments were created to evaluate the knowledge and skills of experienced construction foremen and supervisors. Both assessments provide a prescription to upgrade training. The certification of an individual's qualifications are tracked through NCCER's National Registry.

Assessments were developed with the assistance of subject matter experts representing leading contractors across the country and were piloted to hundreds of candidates before release.

"These assessments were created to better the quality of supervision and professionalism in the construction workplace," said subject matter expert Gary Byers, superintendent at LPR Construction in Loveland, Colo.

Students successfully completing the Foreman or Supervisor assessment through an NCCER Accredited Assessment Center will earn industry-recognized credentials through NCCER's National Registry.

Both the Foreman and Supervisor assessment specifications correlate to a general topic training prescription. Topic areas also correlate to NCCER's management curriculum and Associated General Contractors of America supervisory training program. Performance verifications will be developed to accompany each assessment.
