David Heigl Promoted to President of Schwarze Industries

David Heigl has been promoted to unit company President of Schwarze Industries in Huntsville, AL. Heigl has been a valuable member of theDavid Heigl Schwarze leadership team, serving as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing since February 2018.

Heigl joined Schwarze bringing twenty-three years of Sales and Marketing experience with increased levels of responsibility throughout his career. Prior to joining Schwarze, he was the Sales Director for Seepex Inc., which develops, manufactures and globally markets pumps, controls and drives for metering and blending applications. Heigl has extensive expertise in global market analysis, product positioning and understands the needs of his customer base. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science in Operations Management from Auburn University.

LeeBoy Names Brian Bieller as New CEO

Brian Bieller has 20 plus years’ experience in the industry after most recently serving as president of Dynapac North America. HeB Bieller Headshot 613fc0179fb73 also served as vice president of sales for Dynapac and vice president of the Road Construction Equipment Division of Atlas Copco USA. 

In addition, Bieller serves on the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ Construction Equipment Sector Board of Directors.  He brings a wealth of knowledge of the asphalt industry to "Team LeeBoy" and the company has expressed enthusiasm in the ability to reach new achievements under his strong leadership.

First All-Electric Asphalt Paver Launched in Germany

The world's first 100% electric asphalt paver is now on test jobsites in Europe. The first production model is currently being realized by KWS, part of VolkerWessels Infrastructure, in close collaboration with UMS (developer), Dynapac (manufacturer)The first version is the blueprint of the production model that Dynapac will manufactureThe first version is the blueprint of the production model that Dynapac will manufactureKWS and Van der Spek (dealer).

"The advantages of the machine in terms of durability are great," KWS said in a release. "There are no local emissions of CO2 or particulate matter and this directly contributes to the improvement of the living environment, wherever the machine is used. After a number of test projects this year, this spreading machine will be fully involved in KWS's projects in 2022."

There have already been electric rollers introduced to the market, but this is the first all-electric paver in use. 

"We are very proud to participate in the electrification of our SD2500CS finishing machine, together with our customer KWS and our partners VDS and UMS." Axel Mooren vice president, business unit pavers at Dynapac said. "This project fits perfectly into our strategic Z.ERA program, where we reduce emissions step by step for each of our products, without sacrificing our performance."

Sweeping Corporation of America Completes 30th Acquisition

The recent acquisition by SCA, expands the service offerings in Southern CA.

Atlantic Southern Paving & Sealcoating Acquires Southeastern-Based Paving Company

In January 2021, Atlantic Southern acquired Emerald Paving to assist with servicing the company's national customers. This latest acquisition is well aligned with Harbor Beach and Atlantic Southern's shared commitment of expanding the geographic footprint of the company through organic growth initiatives combined with selective strategic acquisitions.
