Westbrook Rental & Repair has seen its ups and downs in the marketplace. The store opened in 2007, survived the recession, and now looks forward to taking advantage of a growing economy in Fond du Lac, WI.

“Industry around here is pretty strong and there seems to be plenty of construction,” reported company Store Manager Jess Morgan. “Our market is divided almost equally between homeowner and commercial users on the equipment side. We also do some party with tables, chairs, and bounce houses, among other items.”

Jess, whose father Matt is company president, noted that a few strong companies such as Mercury Marine with its headquarters in Fond du Lac help fuel the housing and restoration market. “Our most popular rental items include a Bil Jax aerial lift, along with Vermeer stump grinders and chippers. The chippers and lift are rented primarily to commercial customers, but stump grinders also have become an attractive item for homeowners because they’re so easy to operate. Even though we could add more of these items to our inventory, our focus is to keep current equipment well maintained and in good working order.”

Westbrook Rental & Repair, which keeps six employees busy during the summer months, is also a servicing dealer for Cub Cadet, Echo, and Billy Goat products.
