Web auctioneer IronPlanet today began a four-day sale that it expects will be its largest auction ever. It is the first IronPlanet sale to gather some inventory at one site for buyer inspection and bidding. Buyers can preview equipment and detailed inspection reports in the usual way at www.IronPlanet.com. They can also see some inventory at the Fantasy of Flight attraction near Orlando, Fla.

The auction begins each day at 8 am (EST), and will conclude on February 24, 2012

Sale inventory includes late model, low hour equipment from manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, John Deere, JLG, Kubota and Ford. A wide selection of agricultural and construction equipment is for sale, including aerial work platforms, compactors, crawler tractors, excavators, telehandlers, wheel loaders and trucks. Equipment is located in Florida at Fantasy of Flight, as well as across the United States, including sites in Alabama, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

IronPlanet’s IronClad Assurance buyer protection program guarantees inspection reports accurately describe a machine’s condition.

During the four-day auction, bids may be placed live at Fantasy of Flight or online through a computer, tablet or smart phone. The auction opens daily at 8 a.m. (EST). Buyers unable to attend the auction may bid online before the sale using IronPlanet’s PriorityBid service.

In order to place a bid, all buyers must register at www.IronPlanet.com. Call IronPlanet Customer Care with any questions regarding the sale at 888-433-5426.
