Equipment rental companies face daily pressure to manage large fleets, but many still rely on outdated paper inspections that slow operations and create disputes.

UK technology firm Krank has launched Inspeq, a mobile-first inspection app designed to replace handwritten forms with digital reporting. Also available in the U.S., the platform allows field teams to complete check-in and check-out inspections using a smartphone or tablet, capturing video, photos, voice notes and time-stamped condition reports.

Powered by AI, Inspeq transcribes spoken observations into structured reports in real time. The system can cut inspection times by up to 50% and generate fully formatted reports instantly, reducing downtime and improving equipment availability.

The app also strengthens accountability by providing photo-backed discrepancy reports when equipment is returned, giving rental companies and customers clear records to resolve damage disputes.

Krank launched Inspeq in April 2025 and continues to expand its capabilities for rental teams working across multiple sites.
