Epicore Biosystems has introduced new features for its Connected Hydration platform, including a companion mobile app, expanded analytics tools and a reusable wearable armband designed to help monitor worker hydration and heat-related risk.
The updated platform provides both individual users and safety managers with hydration and physiological data intended to support workplace health, safety and readiness.
A new feature, called the Hydration Edge Score, uses real-time sweat data to provide a daily hydration readiness score and personalized recommendations related to fluid intake and hydration habits.
Epicore also expanded its cloud-based dashboard with new risk-monitoring tools that help safety managers identify crews, job roles or locations that may be at greater risk of heat-related issues. The dashboard highlights contributing factors such as hydration alerts, skin temperature and activity levels.
The company also introduced a reusable armband wearable that eliminates the need for single-use adhesives. The device is designed for daily use and measures sweat loss, sweating rate, sodium levels, skin temperature and activity data.
The enhancements are aimed at industrial, construction and other outdoor work environments where heat exposure can affect worker safety and productivity.
