DAP Global has named Scott Showalter president, succeeding Mark Heird, who retired Aug. 3 after leading the building products manufacturer.
Showalter joined DAP in 2004 as a field sales representative and has held a series of leadership positions, including national account manager, director of sales, vice president of sales and executive vice president of sales and marketing. Most recently, he oversaw sales, operations, customer service and marketing across the U.S. and Canada.
Under Showalter's leadership, DAP said it will continue to focus on expanding its portfolio of construction and building products, including sealants, adhesives, spray foam, insulation and repair products, while emphasizing product innovation and customer support.
Heird spent 26 years with RPM International, serving in leadership roles at DAP and Rust-Oleum before retiring. Following his retirement, he will serve as board chair for Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake.
