Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas Adds Holland Equipment Services to Dealer Network

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas announced a dealership agreement with HES – Holland Equipment Services, Holland, Mich., under which HES will sell and service Hyundai wheel loaders and excavators in western Michigan.

Aric Geurink, president of HES, said the agreement with Hyundai represents a major growth opportunity for the dealership, which has built a large presence in southwest Michigan as a supplier of used equipment, attachments, parts, service and rentals.

“Selling, servicing and renting new Hyundai equipment adds important value to the HES brand and gives us a competitive edge,” said Geurink, whose late father, Robert, established the family-owned dealership in 1988 as HES/A&B Farms. “It’s a win for both our dealership and our customers. We’re getting great training and support from Hyundai, and our customers have an expanded variety of Hyundai equipment and financing solutions to meet their needs.”

Geurink said HES looks forward to adding Hyundai’s newly announced articulated dump truck models to its rental fleet. “We have customers who will find the new Hyundai ADT trucks a great match for their applications,” he said.

Hyundai welcomes HES to our expanding network of North American dealerships,” said Ed Harseim, Midwest sales manager, Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas. “Having built a successful business on the sales and rentals of used equipment, HES now provides its customers a variety of new equipment solutions from Hyundai.”

Yanmar Opens Regional Distribution Center in Texas

Yanmar America Corporation has opened a new regional distribution center in Gainesville, Texas. The 54,000 square-foot facility will distribute tractors, UTVs and related products to dealers and customers in the Texas market.

“This investment demonstrates Yanmar’s continuing commitment to the important Texas market,” said Yanmar America president, Jeff Albright. “With this new regional distribution center, Yanmar America is committed to offering exceptional purchase and ownership experiences to our customers and we will continue to support our dealer partners to provide parts and service support.”

The regional distribution center was opened in cooperation with Yanmar Flagship Dealer “Tractor Bob’s” and will distribute Yanmar’s versatile, high-quality YM, YT and SA series tractors and the company’s Bull and Brahma series UTVs. The center, which will also ship a wide range of tractor attachments and spare parts, is expected to streamline dealer operations by reducing the need to maintain high levels of inventory on-site, while at the same time, significantly reducing lead times for delivery of products to customers.

Doc Bailey Cranes & Equipment Adds Merlo Telehandlers

Doc Bailey Cranes & Equipment is a full-service crane, boom truck and bucket truck rental company. They recently added Merlo telehandlers to their fleet for rent and sale.

Machine moving companies are a large part of Doc Bailey’s customer base. Along with cranes and truck mounted lifts, customers have requested machinery that is not as large as a crane, with more nimbleness than the truck mounted lift. In doing his research, Doc Bailey found the Merlo P120.10 was a good fit to the needs of his customer base.

“It offers 26,500 lbs. maximum load capacity,” Bailey said. “Something my typical competitor does not have. We are a lift specialty company and one of our goals is to be able to fill a niche for our customers. Merlo’s P120.10 is that machine.”

“The particular machine checked a number of boxes,” Bailey continued. “Its cab is larger than others. It is more ergonomic, which my customers like. It is easy to use, and the controls are responsive. Overall, it’s a very nice design. It’s small enough to be nimble, yet has the power needed to safely do what is asked.”

Along with filling needs as they arise, Bailey said fairness is always at the top of the goal list. “We take care of our customers. Our primary goal is to save our customers money with products that deliver consistent efficiency and safety whether direct, through rent, or re-rent. We both win when we deliver on all points.”

Doc Bailey carries Link-Belt, RT cranes, bucket trucks, mobile truck cranes. They offer rentals, sales, inspection, service work, and repairs on all their equipment.

There are three Doc Bailey Cranes & Equipment locations in the U.S.: main location is San Lorenzo, Calif., Las Vegas, and Oahu, Hawaii. All three will carry the P120.10.

Turton Bond Opening Offices in Austin, Houston

Turton Bond, a construction consultancy company based in New York City, announces the opening of its Texas offices in Houston and Austin. Following the increase in activity and client demand in the south-central United States territory, these new offices will allow Turton Bond to expand as clients continue their entry or expansion into the region, specifically within the natural resource and manufacturing sectors.

The new Texas offices will offer an extension of Turton Bond’s national projects and continuous growth.

“Between Austin, Houston, and Dallas, Texas offers all client and sector types, from financial services to EV manufacturing, from downstream petrochemicals to world-leading healthcare, there are a wide variety of clients and projects to come this way over the next five years,” said Texas Director Craig Oxley.

H&E Opens New Branch in Florida

H&E Equipment Services has opened its new Lakeland rental branch, its ninth in the state of Florida with many more planned.

The facility includes a fully-fenced yard area, offices, and a separate repair shop with six service bays. It is capable of handling a variety of construction and general industrial equipment for customers in Central Florida.

“For more than 20 years, H&E has served the state of Florida. With the expanding opportunities in the region that stem from the surrounding metropolitan markets of Tampa and Orlando, where we have existing branches, Lakeland is the perfect location for our new rental branch. This strategic placement of facilities gives us greater coverage to reach customers throughout the entire area,” said Branch Manager Timothy Longstreet, who has worked in sales at H&E’s Tampa branch for several years. “With growing multifamily housing and warehousing projects in the region, we will have the units available to meet the demand for quality equipment for these and many other construction projects. DICA Announces Move to New Manufacturing Headquarters

DICA has announced its move to a new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Urbandale, Iowa. This will double the company’s manufacturing capabilities for both standard and custom products.

“A consolidation from multiple facilities in rural Iowa to a large, single manufacturing and office space enables us to provide an even higher level of customer service,” said Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA. In addition to investment in new equipment, the facility expands warehouse space for its full line of outrigger pads, crane pads, cribbing, access mats, and sling protection products.

“It is part of our strategy to keep products in stock and available for immediate shipment,” said Doug Herman, COO. “A larger inventory combined with our strategic location near Interstates 35 and 80 improves logistics, reducing transportation costs and speeding delivery times for customers,” he said. In most cases, one-day turnaround on shipping is possible.

“We currently are using only half of the total 60,000 sq ft under roof space, which positions DICA for future growth,” said Koberg. By centralizing all activities in the Des Moines metropolitan area, DICA has access to a greater talent pool and makes it more convenient for customers to do business with the company.

The company began its move to the new Urbandale headquarters at the beginning of year. Manufacturing and office activities are now fully operational in the new building.
