Euclid Chemical has launched TUF-STRAND NexSlab, a slab-on-ground design software platform for evaluating fiber-reinforced concrete slabs using TUF-STRAND SF synthetic macrofibers.
The software uses an updated TR34-based methodology to evaluate slab designs under loading conditions including rack posts, lift trucks, vehicles, uniform loads and line loads. It analyzes multiple load configurations and locations to identify governing design conditions.
NexSlab generates engineering reports with calculations, design results and utilization factors. Euclid Chemical developed the software and its engineering methodology in-house.
The platform is intended for engineers and other construction professionals evaluating fiber reinforcement for applications such as industrial floors, warehouses and commercial slabs. NexSlab is an engineering support tool and does not replace project-specific design or the professional judgment of the Engineer of Record.
