Simpson Strong Tie's ICFLC hanger system is fast, cost-effective and less labor intensive than alternate methods for insulated concrete forms. The installer marks locations on the ICF, cuts vertical kerfs and pushes the ICFLC connector into each cut before the concrete pour. After the concrete cures, the installer aligns the ledger and drives screws through the ledger into the IFCLC behind it.

An architecture PhD student at ETH Zurich has developed a reportedly simple solution for building concrete floors in a more climate-friendly way - saving on concrete material and steel used due to its lightweight, robust, and reusable formwork design.

Morley Construction faced a tight schedule and intricate architectural concrete forming requirements on the new San Diego Central Library, which was designed by Rob Quigley and destined to become an iconic figure in the city’s skyline.
BIM was a central element to the library’s construction, allowing for scheduling and clash detection. Morley used Revit to build every column, wall and piece of concrete and detect conflicts floor by floor. Each week all subcontractors were required to submit their updated BIM files to Turner to update the master BIM file.
