CSDA’s 2017 Convention keynote speaker will use a unique method to show attendees how they can improve their problem-solving and decision-making skills during his innovative and entertaining business sessions.

The association will hold its 45th Annual Convention & Tech Fair in the beautiful Caribbean, March 14-18, 2017, at the Gran Meliá Golf Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico and registration is now open.

During the Enhancing Business Performance, Communications & Problem-Solving Skills with LEGO Serious Play session, dynamic keynote speaker Nathan Schwagler will introduce his audience to a facilitated meeting, communication and problem-solving process. Each participant builds his or her own 3D model in response to the facilitator's questions using specially selected elements, which serve as a basis for group discussion, knowledge sharing and decision making.

“Nathan’s energetic keynote and problem-solving workshops will truly leave a lasting impression on the 2017 Convention attendees,” CSDA Executive Director Patrick O’Brien says. “This outside-the-box, interactive approach will no doubt give people something to build on as they return to their businesses.”

The keynote presentation will be followed up by two highly-focused workshops that will go further in-depth with the concept—LEGO Serious Play and Creative Thinking in Sales—utilizing the visual, auditory and kinesthetic skills of participants to effectively apply the method in their business environment.

Schwagler is a founding Co-Director of The Dalí Museum Innovation Labs in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he serves as lead program designer and executive facilitator. As a consultant, Nathan has supported more than 150 organizations to facilitate the mapping, development and deployment of their innovation capabilities to drive business outcomes. His clients include Converse Shoe Co., The Miller/Coors Brewing Co., Regions Bank and The Tampa Bay Rays.

The CSDA Annual Convention & Tech Fair is attended by owners, managers and operators from concrete cutting, polishing and imaging companies as well as representatives from manufacturers and distributors who support the industry with products and services. Anyone who falls into these categories should join CSDA for this entertaining, valuable event.
