Dowel Bars and Baskets (DBB) today announced that Matt Nicholas has been promoted to the role of President. Nicholas has served as the organization’s leader, since 2016. His most recent role was General Manager at DBB, where he led the company to significant year over year growth.
As president, he will leverage over twenty years of industry experience. He previously held many different operational and sales leadership roles with other leading manufacturers and distributors in the heavy concrete paving industry. His experience in production management, logistics, procurement, operations, sales, and customer service and support make him an ideal leader to oversee DBB’s continued growth. His position on following projects from design to completion will secure DBB’s position among the industry leaders.
In addition to his role as president, Nicholas is an active participant in industry organizations such as Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), American Concrete Paving Association (ACPA) and serves on the ACPA-Dowel Jointing Task Force committee.
Nicholas graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. Degree in Corporate and Industrial Management. He currently resides in Tuscaloosa, Ala. with his wife, daughter and two sons.
