GPS Makes Itself Known on the Exhibit Floor at NPE 2009

Intergis's Kuva GPS draws inquiries from attendees.

An emerging technology in the paving and pavement maintenance industries is global positioning systems (GPS). The Kuva from Intergis is a wireless asset tracking device the enables companies to track and protect assets including heavy equipment, vehicles, loads, and cargo shipments using GPS/GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) system technology.

Kuva attaches to equipment and provides location, time/date, and motion information which is then transmitted to a remote server. Kuva also features proprietary software to allow users to select reporting frequency for each device. The units can be easily hidden on equipment to limit detection and feature a self-contained, battery powered unit that can last up to 2.5 years before needing recharging.
