Bobyard has expanded its AI-powered takeoff and estimating platform to support finishes trades, including flooring, drywall, painting, insulation, and doors and windows.
The platform is designed to automate measurement-intensive preconstruction tasks by reading architectural drawings and extracting room dimensions, floor areas, wall surfaces, ceiling quantities, perimeters and opening counts.
Bobyard claims the new program also identify room names, calculate wall areas for drywall and paint, measure linear materials such as baseboards, count doors and windows, generate ceiling tile quantities and extract room finish schedules.
Bobyard said the technology reduces the need for manual tracing and measurements, allowing contractors to complete takeoffs more quickly.
