Trunk Tools is launching an AI platform designed to help contractors analyze construction drawings and connect information across project documents.
The platform, Cortex, is designed to interpret drawing data alongside specifications, RFIs, submittals, schedules and change orders, allowing teams to identify project impacts and access related documentation from a single interface. Cortex is also built to detect drawing revisions, including changes outside traditional revision clouds that are often missed during reviews.
Cortex powers several AI workflow agents, including those for drawing revision analysis, RFI management, bid analysis and submittal reviews. The company said the tools are intended to reduce manual document review, identify potential risks earlier and help prevent costly rework.
Trunk Tools said the platform was developed over four years using data from commercial construction projects and is designed specifically for construction workflows rather than general-purpose AI applications.
