Liebherr Boosts L 550 and L 556 XPower Wheel Loader Performance

Liebherr has updated two models in the XPower large wheel loader series - the L 550 XPower and L 556 XPower. To further boost performance, company has reinforced the lift arms and overhauled the working hydraulics, as well as increased tip load, breakout force and engine power. 

• 222-hp L 550 has a 40,896-lb. operating weight, a 27,558-lb. tip load and a 4.45-cu-yd. bucket capacity, while the 249-hp L 556 features a 43,211-lb. operating weight, a 30,314-lb. tip load and 4.8-cu.-yd. bucket capacity
• Standard power-split travel drive increases engine power
• Increased working hydraulic performance enables dynamic lift and tip functions regardless of size or weight of the working tool
• Structural modifications to lift arms enable higher breakout, holding and retrieval forces
• Lift arm versions include Z-bar kinematics and industrial kinematics, both available in standard and high lift configurations
• Capable of working with larger buckets and moving more material in each loading process
• Fully automatic LIKUFIX quick coupler system now available
• Available with a hydraulic quick coupler with optimized visibility as well as a range of assistance systems including active personnel detection at the rear with a new braking assistant
