Skyjack will unveil three new products at The Rental Show 2016, which is hosted annually by the American Rental Association (ARA). Along with its existing range of simply reliable aerial work platforms and accessories, Skyjack will be showcasing the SJIII 4740 DC electric scissor lift, the SJ30 ARJE articulating boom with rotating jib and the SJ1056 TH telehandler at The Rental Show.

“The Rental Show is the biggest rental equipment tradeshow in North America and is a great place to showcase new products, especially ones that have been designed with rental companies in mind,” said Malcolm Early, vice president of marketing at Skyjack.

With ARA forecasting the US rental industry revenue to grow 6.7%, North America remains a strong market for Skyjack. As equipment rental companies prepare for steady growth, build their fleets to meet growing demand and plan for expansions, Skyjack, too, is expanding its product range to meet rental companies and end-users’ needs.

“We remain committed to being a company that provides simply reliable machines that are easy to operate and maintain,” Early said. “We also take pride in being a company that’s easy to do business with.”

Skyjack is a world leader in manufacturing aerial work platforms and will showcase its ever-expanding product portfolio at the 2016 Rental Show in Atlanta, Georgia. The company looks forward to welcoming visitors to its booth 4947, in February.

Expanding Skyjack’s scissor and boom range

The SJIII 4740 is the tallest DC electric scissor Skyjack has ever produced and boasts impressive platform height and working height capabilities. With a maximum working height of 45.3 ft (13.8 m) and maximum weight capacity of 500 lbs (227 kg), the latest scissor opens up a new class for Skyjack, offering customers more choice.

“This new release demonstrates to our customer base, and to our competitors, that Skyjack is a brand that will continue to expand,” Early said. “Entering into a new scissor class will help fulfil our objective of becoming a full-line product supplier of all types of aerial work platforms.”

To highlight this, Skyjack is also launching an articulating boom at the Rental Show – the SJ30 ARJE, which features a working height of 36 ft (11m) and maximum weight capacity of 500 lbs (227 kg). The SJ30 ARJE remains competitive against other models already in its class while offering customers the commonality of parts advantage. Skyjack’s trademark numbered-and colour-coded wiring system, along with its easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain design makes the SJ30 ARJE stand out from the crowd.

“Booms represent a large part of Skyjack’s overall product portfolio, so unveiling a new boom at the show will expose the North American market to our other skills,” Early said.

New rental specification telehandlers

With the SJ1056 TH, Skyjack has redefined what a 10,000-lb class machine is capable of by leveraging the strength and simplicity of the new TH series design. Current telehandlers in the 10,000-lb to 12,000-lb range typically lift their 10,000-lb load to a maximum height of about 33 ft with outriggers deployed.

“With Skyjack’s SJ1056 TH, the telehandler has the ability to take the same 10,000-lb load to 44 ft – providing increased productivity and versatility over even most 12,000-lb units,” said Barry Greenway, product manager at Skyjack.

The SJ1056 TH telehandlers features maximum lift height of 56 ft 3 in (17.1 m), maximum forward reach of 42 ft 6 in (12.95 m), ground clearance of 19 in (48.3 cm). It comes with 74hp Deutz engines as standard and 107hp Deutz engines as an option.

Robust line up

At the Rental Show, Skyjack is showcasing it’s full range of products designed to appeal to both new and existing Skyjack customers. Skyjack’s simply reliable design ethos is mirrored in both its latest and greatest machines. And, with growing demand from industrial markets around the world, the SJIII 4740 and the SJ30 ARJE are both designed to expand Skyjack’s customer base.

The company's full line up will include:

  • Vertical mast lift – SJ16
  • DC electric scissor lifts – SJIII 3219, SJIII 3226,
