Little Beaver recently expanded its production line, streamlined the manufacturing processes, and integrated new customer service software. The investment is part of Little Beaver’s commitment to continually incorporate the latest technology to ensure maximum manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.
“With the recent production changes, we can provide safe, high-quality, one-person earth drills 25 percent faster than before,” said Joe Haynes, Little Beaver president. “Process improvements also increased the drills’ quality, while new software makes it easier to track customer orders.”
The manufacturing improvements create an entirely computerized system that speeds the production process. With a CNC (computer numerical control) lathe, milling machine and plasma cutter, Little Beaver produces consistent, quality components in minutes. Little Beaver also recently began metal casting its auger connectors as a single piece for greater strength and durability compared to the welded fittings used previously.
In addition to state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, Little Beaver invested in a product management system that gives its dedicated service team the tools to more efficiently support customers. The system tracks orders from purchase to delivery, and the software links each order to a tracking number giving customers faster responses to inquiries.
Little Beaver manufactures high-quality, versatile earth drills and accessories with high-strength steel and a powder-coat finish for long-lasting use. The drills feature an exclusive torque tube that absorbs kickback to allow for safe one-person drilling.
