The California Rental Association’s annual Rental Rally in Las Vegas continued to grow with 346 exhibitors’ booths sold and rental attendees of about 400 from approximately 140 rental companies, according to CRA Executive Director Dale Blackwell. Rental visitors came from 19 states, from as far away as Alaska and Hawaii.
Blackwell noted that World of Concrete occurring the same week in Las Vegas both helped and hindered the CRA's event. "We gained a few rental centers who were also attending the WOC, and lost a few vendors due to WOC," he said. "Kind of a double-edged sword."
Overall, however, the event, held at the South Point Hotel and Casino, was a success. "The show was well received by both attendees and vendors, so we are very happy," said Blackwell, who noted that the pre-show cocktail party was well attended and the Topgolf social event was within 20 of a sell out at 375.
During the Topgolf event, the CRA awarded its Bud Loeber Friendship Award to Sylvia Woodward of the Woodward Group, Glendora, CA, wife of the popular manufacturers’ rep, the late Jim Woodward.
