Novara has acquired Ensogo, a Toronto-based sustainability software company, in a move aimed at expanding its artificial intelligence, environmental reporting and operational risk management capabilities.

The acquisition combines Ensogo’s sustainability and ESG software with Novara’s safety and operational risk platform. According to the company, the integration will support capabilities such as predictive risk modeling, automated compliance workflows, environmental reporting, carbon accounting and AI-powered data analysis.

Ensogo develops software designed to help organizations manage sustainability reporting, environmental performance and regulatory compliance requirements. Its technology will be integrated into Novara’s Flex platform.

The deal also expands Novara’s presence in Canada and supports growth across industries including construction, manufacturing, mining, energy and oil and gas.

As part of the acquisition, Ensogo co-founder and CEO Elie Mouzon will join Novara as chief strategy officer, while co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Tommy Ng will become vice president of AI engineering. The company said the additions will support ongoing development of AI and sustainability-focused technologies across its platform.
