One thousand construction workers are at the site of Apple's Cupertino campus, and already 1.5 million tons of concrete has been poured for the new Apple donut complex. It's one mile in circumference and will be four stories tall with a complete solar layer atop when finished.

Construction of Apple's new "Spaceship" campus, deemed Apple Campus 2, will soon have a new lead builder. The joint venture of Skanska USA and DPR Construction Inc. was the lead builder until negotiations over their continued involvement and the revised scope of work for the project broke down. Skanska/DPR will transition completely off the project over the next several weeks.

The contractors departure will result in $800 million in order bookings cancellation for Skanska.

It is unclear who will take over Skanska/DPR's scope of work on the project, but it has been rumored that Holder Construction could replace the contractors for the remaining construction of the building's core and shell.
