Earthbound Corp. now offers the SmackChair, a new addition to the ChubbySmack concrete anchoring system. The SmackChair verifies full threaded rod engagement and maintains 1-in. clearance. The system has fewer parts and is easier and faster to install than traditional nut-plate-nut anchoring assemblies. It also creates a larger breakout cone than conventional anchor systems. The ChubbySmack system can be used for ACI 318 Appendix D-compliant anchoring.
