- Point-bonded, moisture-resistant fabric laminated to the surface so gypsum concrete and other materials can be placed to create a floating floor
- Mat's core produced from extruded polymer matrix of tangled polypropylene monofilaments that are heat-welded at the junctions
- Core absorbs noise when sandwiched in a mass-spring-mass building design
- Bottom side of MT features a bonded highly compressible polyester fabric that compresses after it's topped with a 1.25-in.-thick concrete floor underlayment to muffle noise
