Putzmeister America, Inc. introduces its new 38Z-Meter Truck-Mounted Concrete Boom Pump. The pump features a new design for its five-section boom arm and pedestal for increased maneuverability, a reduced boom unfolding height, reduced overall weight, and a more user-friendly design.
- Five-section boom arm
- Reduced unfolding height — down from 29 ft. to 24 ft.
- The reach of the boom arm is approximately 108 ft. horizontal, 123 ft. vertical
- 53,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight (25.5 tons)
- New pump weighs 1,500 lbs. (0.8 tons) less than the previous 38Z model
- The addition of a single pusher axle allows the 38Z to be configured to meet the Federal Bridge Law requirements.
- Updated pedestal’s sub-frame features bolted connections
- The pedestal now has a rotation bearing instead of a rack and pinion
- New hydraulic system has an improved filtration system
- Improved pipe layout and an increased parts commonality between components of the pipe system.
- Only three types of elbows are used, as compared with seven elbows in the previous model
- Ergonomic Graphic Display, which features wireless computer technology and a high resolution, color screen.
- Features the new RS 909 Hopper which incorporates an RFID safety switch, preventing it from operating with the grate open and incorporating zero moving parts
- Meets all ASME B30.27-2009 Safety standards
