As part of its international initiative to seek opportunities to advance global outreach, ACI announces that ACI document and journal abstracts will now be available in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database.

China National Knowledge Infrastructure is the leading academic publisher that provides over 90 percent of China’s knowledge resources. The database includes journals, dissertations, newspapers, proceedings, yearbooks, reference works, encyclopedia, patents, standards, and laws and regulations in multiple scientific areas.

Professors, engineers, architects, researchers, and contractors in China will now be able to find over 700 ACI document titles and over 8,000 ACI Journal abstracts from the ACI Materials Journal and the ACI Structural Journal.

ACI's goal of serving as a major force in creating and maintaining a worldwide community of individuals and organizations supplying and accessing knowledge on concrete is met through its international activities. ACI is committed to forging strong global partnerships and maximizing the international visibility of its publications.

“At the American Concrete Institute, our hope is that the network of global researchers, engineers, constructors, and students can learn from the innovative concrete design and construction that has been taking place in China,” said Ron Burg, Executive Vice President, American Concrete Institute. “We see the inclusion of ACI’s technical resources in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure database as helping to foster an environment of knowledge sharing that will benefit the people of China and the global concrete community.”

ACI envisions a future where everyone has the knowledge needed to use concrete effectively to meet the demands of a changing world.
