NRMCA Adds Industry Veteran To Local Paving, Promotion Team

Don A. Clem, P.E., has joined the NRMCA as vice president, local paving, responsible for implementing strategies that increase the use ready mixed concrete in pavements for parking lots, streets and local roads, and other applications.

Don A. Clem, P.E., has joined the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) as vice president, local paving, responsible for implementing strategies that increase the use ready mixed concrete in pavements for parking lots, streets and local roads, and other applications. Clem will be based in the Denver area and will be responsible for the Rocky Mountain Northwest region. He will work with local, regional and state technical and promotion partners to help deliver concrete parking lot and street paving projects by supporting promotion, design and construction activities as well as provide training and presentations on concrete applications and promotion.

Prior to joining NRMCA, Clem was the executive director of the Portland Cement Association (PCA) Rocky Mountain and Northwest Regions where he was responsible for improving and extending the use of cement in the region. Before joining PCA, Clem was vice president – marketing and governmental affairs – Midwest Region for NRMCA Producer member CEMEX and the marketing engineer for the Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. Clem is a registered professional engineer and surveyor in the state of Colorado.
