The World Cement Association announced today that Vassiliko Cement Works Ltd. is the latest organisation to join its fast-growing, international membership.
The recently established Association now boasts a network of members and representatives that cover 26 countries.
“We are delighted that Vassiliko Cement is joining our worldwide cement community,” says Norman Greig, Secretary General of the World Cement Association. “We share Vassiliko’s focus on ongoing improvement and best practice and look forward to working closely with them and our international membership to raise standards in the cement industry around the globe.”
Vassiliko Cement Works Ltd was established in Cyprus in 1963, with initial production of 150,000 tonnes. This has grown to an annual volume of 2MioT, thanks largely to the establishment of a €200m state-of-the-art facility completed in 2011.
The business has adopted as fundamental principles ongoing improvement in the quality of its products and the ambition to be a leader in delivering customer service.
“We are satisfied for being member of World Cement Association family and we aspire at an excellent cooperation that would give us the opportunity to get to know large companies of the sector, learn good practices and present at the same time the achievements of one of the largest industry in Cyprus,” says Pagona Liggou, Chief HR and Communication Officer, Vassiliko Cement.
